overview

The "Cities of the Future" Pavilion at the 2025 Japan International Exposition (Osaka-Kansai Expo) is a joint exhibition project by the Expo Association and 12 sponsoring companies. The Mitsui O.S.K. Lines displays Place is based on the concept of "WIND VISION" and consists of a large-scale displays of the hydrogen production ship "Wind Hunter," which Mitsui O.S.K. Lines is developing, and a large screen.
We created an interactive, experiential presentation so that visitors could feel the inexhaustible natural energy of "wind" captured by the wind hunter, and the "wind" as movement generated by the ship.

Issues/requests

The aim is to provide visitors with an easy-to-understand and engaging explanation of how Windhunter uses wind power to produce, transport and supply hydrogen from seawater.

solution

When wind was blown onto the large model of the Windhunter with a fan, a simulated voyage began, linked to the large screen at the back. The ending was designed to change depending on the amount of wind blown, and through the model and video, it was planned as a participatory attraction where visitors could learn while playing a game. The original fans used in the experience were also distributed as a commemorative gift to visitors.
