Since opening in 2011 at the east exit of JR Urawa Station, East Medical Clinic's new medical facility in Urawa PARCO has been used for internal medicine, breast surgery, complete health checkups, and health checkups not only by local residents but also by many nearby companies. This is a relocation project to a mall.
The relocation opening comes after two years of consulting on the target property and redefining the mission as the scale of the clinic expanded.

The primary challenge was whether it would be possible to install large X-ray medical equipment and create X-ray shielding areas, as the floor load capacity and electrical capacity of the new facility were at the level of a typical commercial facility. In addition, it was necessary to fit the layout of examination and testing rooms, taking into account the operations of both the general outpatient clinic and the health checkup facility, into the irregularly shaped, narrow space. Furthermore, since the floor to be occupied was adjacent to a cinema and had a ceiling height of 7.5m, it was necessary to overcome the uneven spatial configuration through concept design. Moreover, as our company was also in charge of branding, a unified spatial concept design was an important element.

On the hardware side, we were able to overcome challenges by carefully calculating electrical capacity, floor load distribution, and drainage locations in collaboration with external experts. Spaces with uneven heights were concept design with lower heights to create comfortable spaces for conversation.
Regarding the layout, we placed the reception areas for general outpatient services and health checkup facilities at opposite ends of the area, and while keeping in mind flexible operation that takes both operations into consideration, we fitted the examination rooms and testing rooms into the irregularly shaped, narrow area.
Furthermore,since we were also in charge of branding, we formulated a logo and graphics (new VI) based on interviews with on-site staff, defining the ideal clinic as "a place where local people gather, feeling trust and security, embodying the essence of medicine and human warmth." We were able to create a unified spatial concept design by incorporating elements of the new VI into the space, such as doors and signage.​
