CITY CIRCUIT TOKYO BAY is an urban circuit centered around one of Japan's largest EV (electric) karts, and is the only circuit course within Tokyo's 23 wards. It is an entertainment facility that combines motorsports and technology.
This facility will use dedicated EV racing karts and simulators to provide a full-scale urban racing experience on both indoor and outdoor courses. The indoor course will feature projection mapping and other effects, creating a space that can be enjoyed by motorsport fans and families alike all day long.
Our mission is to utilize EVs and other technologies to provide everyone with a new urban circuit experience, promote well-being through next-generation mobility, and contribute to the SDGs by realizing a sustainable society using EVs.
As a collaborative planning company, we handle a wide range of areas, from business conception to adding value after operations are complete.
Going forward, we plan to work with TMS to expand this business nationwide in order to expand mobility entertainment.
In order to broaden the base of motorsports, we received a request to create an unprecedented space that provides accessible urban entertainment.
On the other hand, there was the tight schedule of having to open in about six months, even though the basic concept had not yet been fully finalized.
This project began when Mori Building asked us about how to utilize their vacant lot, and we introduced them to Toms.
Our company was also sympathetic to not only the carbon-neutral initiative of the EV cart, but also its potential as a new form of urban, indoor entertainment, and supported the project's commercialization through a joint project.
Although the initial challenge was the tight schedule, we made maximum use of internal and external resources to ensure the project's success and increased its feasibility.
Specific tasks included planning the site utilization plan from the planning stage, proposing and supervising various concept design, sign graphics, and visual identity (logo, concept design code, etc.), as well as providing support for opening the facility.
Toward the Tom's business goal of reaching 100 locations by 2030, our entire team will continue to utilize our experience at "CITY CIRCUIT TOKYO BAY" to make "CITY CIRCUIT" a brand whose charm can be experienced all over the country.
