Experience the cutting edge of collaboration between the human brain and AI research with the new displays "Doing ○○ with the Intelligent Brain - Researchers Who Look at the Brain and Create the Brain," part of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation's Visionary Lab Phase 2, scheduled to open on Thursday, March 25th.

The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan, Director: Mamoru Mohri), the International Research Organization for Neurointelligence (IRCN, Director: Takao Hensch), NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. (Representative Director President and CEO: Shuji Enomoto) will open a new displays for the second phase of their Visionary Lab (*) on Thursday, March 25, 2021, titled "Making the Brain ○○ (Marumaru) - Researchers Who Look at the Brain and Create the Brain." This exhibition explores the immense potential of the brain by gaining new perspectives on "intelligence" from cutting-edge research, exploring what kind of vision (= ideal future image) can be opened up by the fusion of brain research and artificial intelligence (AI) displays.
"Intelligent Brain" is a coined term that represents a new research field called "neurointelligence," which has two aspects: understanding our brains and artificial intelligence that arises from understanding the brain. It also represents the results that can be achieved through this field. Through this displays, you can experience the forefront of collaboration between researchers with perspectives on brain research and AI research, and have various experiences related to "Intelligent Brain."
Under the themes of "Experiencing the Intelligent Brain," "Understanding the Intelligent Brain," "Exploring the Intelligent Brain," and "Creating the Intelligent Brain," visitors can see, hear, and touch actual devices and AI to understand the similarities, differences, and characteristics of the human brain and AI, as revealed by cutting-edge research in brain and AI. Through displays, visitors can participate in vision creation by imagining the future from the researchers' visions and expressing their own opinions, exploring what kind of AI can be created from brain research and what kind of AI can help create a future where each of us is respected.
This displays was planned and produced collaboratively through a workshop held by IRCN, the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), and NOMURA Co.,Ltd. It aims to provide visitors with a new experience by presenting research results born from the fusion of brain research and AI research using the most optimal displays methods.
