[2016 concept design Awards] Three works win silver awards at the Japan Space concept design Awards 2016
This time, three projects for which NOMURA was in charge of spatial creation won awards at the Japan Space concept design Awards 2016 (sponsored by Japan Space concept design Association).
At the Japan Space concept design Awards 2016, out of approximately 800 entries, the Tulip Shikisaikan, whose spatial concept design was by Tomonori Fukano, and the state-of-the-art immersive observation deck, SKY CIRCUS Sunshine 60 Observatory, designed by Tamae Takahashi, won the Silver Award.
In addition, Akihiko Shigyo was in charge of the "National Museum of Nature and Science Global Museum Renewal", which won the Silver Prize, and Yutaka Uehara, who was in charge of the exploration plaza for parents and children on the 3rd floor of the building, "Compass", won the Planning and Research Award. Four other works were selected for the BEST 50.
On the other hand, the display window for Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore's "A 'memorable' message from Tsutaya Bookstore", which was handled by Nomura Duo, a Group company, also received a silver award.

[What is the Japan Space concept design Award?]
Founded in 1966 and celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, this is the world's largest spatial and environmental concept design award, sponsored by the Japan concept design Space Association. It continues to honor excellent concept design that aim to create communication concept design in space. This year, from approximately 800 entries, one Grand Prize, 10 Gold Prizes, 15 Silver Prizes, 24 BEST 50 Prizes, one Reconstruction Support Prize, two Regional Prizes, one Student Prize, and three Planning and Research Prizes were selected.
