Kikukawa Industries Co., Ltd. Kikukawa Techno Plaza Guest Lobby

Kikukawa Kogyo is a leading company in metal processing building materials, which handles many large-scale construction projects both in Japan and overseas. This project is a renovation plan for the visitor's facility located on the premises of the Shirai Factory, which is the processing base. The theme was to create a place where the spirit at the core of Kikukawa Kogyo, which has been built up over its 90-year history, can be felt, including the KIKUKAWAism of "Never Say No" and the never-give-up, never-give-up spirit of continuing to take on new challenges, was felt. A new displays area was created to introduce the company's history and processing processes, and through art and fixtures incorporating advanced technology, we aimed to create a place that would impress upon the company its passion and technology for manufacturing, and generate new co-creation.

This facility is the first place that clients (architects and designers) visit when they visit the factory for concept design discussions and production confirmation, and is the place where they can receive a company tour and hold meetings. However, the facility's interiors was showing obvious signs of aging, and there was a need to renew the space, both as a first impression of the company and as a creative environment. The request for this concept design was based on the theme of "a space that leaves an impression of Kikukawa Kogyo's corporate attitude."

We incorporated Kikukawa Kogyo's never-give-up, challenging attitude, such as "Never Say No," into the displays fixtures. We produced impressive fixtures and art that incorporate Kikukawa Kogyo's strength, the advanced processing technology, and sprinkled the company's spirit and technology throughout the space, aiming to create a facility that would raise visitors' expectations of working together with Kikukawa Kogyo as "manufacturing partners."
