LOQUAT Villa SUGURO

LOQUAT Villa SUGURO

This is a plan to renovate an old private house in the Odoi district of Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture into a rental accommodation facility. This area used to be a quiet area where magistrates lived long ago, and we planned to offer a stay that incorporates the surrounding environment so that you can experience the slow flow of time beyond time. The main building has a kitchen, and services such as dinner by a visiting chef and the provision of alcohol from a movable bar are provided. For interiors, we used local materials, and tried to create a space using local materials, just like in the Edo period, such as a wall made of local soil and a dining table made of local cherry trees. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] In order to make the most of the old private house that is rented as a whole, we received a request for an attractive space concept design based on the characteristics of the site. [Solution] While making the most of the charm of the existing building, we incorporated a spatial composition that maximizes the view of the surroundings and a finish that utilizes local soil. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Shinya Hiratsuka, Nobuyuki Yagi [Overall supervision] Norio Koito [Planning] Saki Ninomiya [design, layout] Hiroshi Inoue -Related links- [Release] ・ NOMURA 's social good activities: Example of LOQUAT Villa SUGURO Creation of an auberge space that colors the charm of the region ・The project in which NOMURA worked on the space concept design won the silver award and many others at the “Japan Space concept design Award 2022” [Related achievements] ・LOQUAT Nishiizu

Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki-dori

Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki-dori

This is a project to renovate an alleyway lined with townhouses built more than 110 years ago into a ryokan near Shijo Omiya in Kyoto. Passing through the reception building, 23 guest room buildings, a warehouse building, and a restaurant building are lined up along the stone-paved alley, and a gorgeous view reminiscent of the geisha district of the Edo period spreads out. There are 5 types of guest rooms with the theme of Kyoto's natural beauty, and you can experience the charm of the region in terms of both tangible and intangible culture. The restaurant building in the center of the alley has a Japanese beef restaurant, and it is a unique space that introduces Japanese culture, including food, to the world. The site is approximately 1,400 square meters, including 26 wooden buildings, and has become the largest revitalization project in Kyoto's history, attracting the attention of Kyoto City. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] Twenty-four 100-plus-year-old machiya townhouses that had been left surrounding an alley were about to be demolished for the development of a hotel. The project has started to find new value. Various adjustments with the local residents were necessary for the new development. [Solution] While there were several residents living there, we participated in the existing surveys and discussed with the client how to make the best use of the original materials. We coordinated the rights related to the site, etc., designed and constructed two new buildings (reception building and restaurant building) while designing the alleyway, and undertook the design supervision and construction of the existing guest room building on a cost-on basis, while putting together the whole. I made it up. <Our project members> [Project Supervisor] Nobuyuki Yagi [Sales and Project Management] Moriya Sakata [Overall Design Supervision] Takaaki Tani [Architectural Design Supervision] Norio Koito [Architectural Design (Reception Building/Restaurant Building)] Norio Koito [Interior Design/ [Design] Takaaki Tani, Kyoko Kosugi [VI design] IVD: Ayaka Hagitani, Mayu Toyoda [FFE design] Saki Ninomiya, Nanako Kazujun [Production and construction] Akio Hirayama, Takahiro Nakayama, Toshimi Katsuragi

Nazuna Obi Castle town hot spring

Nazuna Obi Castle town hot spring

This is a project to turn a samurai residence of more than 140 years old remaining in the castle town of Obi Castle in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture, into a tourist attraction and hot spring inn in the town. Each of the five guest rooms was concept design according to the theme of regional character, and consisted of the town's color "Hon-purple," the "cedar" that supports industry, the "tea tree" that is planted in hedges, the "orange" citrus variety of the city, and the "moss" that is important to the town's landscape. our company took part in the project using a subsidy from the Shopping District Revitalization and Tourism Consumption Creation Project, and participated in a wide range of projects from hardware to software, including the creation of cards and maps to encourage local shops to tour the area as a tourist base, the development of cooking experiences, and the construction of new lanterns as street lights starting at Honshuku. It has been reborn as a core player in future community development. SOCIAL ISSUES/CUSTOMER ISSUES/REQUESTS: To contribute to the revitalization of tourism in the city by utilizing existing buildings, such as the main building, which is 140 years old and was acquired by the city from an individual. The project should be carried out as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Business to Revitalize Shopping Streets and Create Tourism Consumption" together with the shopping association. With the constraints within the Preservation Districts for Historic Buildings and the restrictions on changes to buildings by the city's Cultural Properties Division, how can we create something good? Then, a comprehensive consideration was required, such as how to make the stay experience better. Solution: I participated in the survey of the existing building, worked with the construction official to plan a way to change the use of the building from the state that it was in violation of the law, and was in charge of Architecture interiors Design construction from concept design after coordinating with the city for the cost of construction. Following a request for a change of use confirmation, the renovation project met the criteria for a the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry grant and was completed through repeated consultations with the city's cultural properties department. As a project to revitalize the local community through the use of traditional buildings, we made abundant use of locally grown Obi cedar, which also contributed to the circulation of the local economy. < our company Project Member > (Project Supervisor) Nobuyuki Yagi (Sales and Project Management) Moriya Sakata (Overall design supervision) Takaaki Tani (Architecture design, layout) Norio Koito (Interior design, layout) Takaaki Tani, Nanako Wajun (FFE concept design) Saki Ninomiya (Production/construction) Kazuya Fujii

Central Square Yebisu Garden Place

Central Square Yebisu Garden Place

The Mitsukoshi Ebisu store, which operated in the commercial building of Yebisu Garden Place, closed its doors and was reborn under the new name "Center Plaza". Prior to the grand opening in the fall of 2022, the “Foodies Garden” was launched on the B2 floor, and the flagship store “Central Square Yebisu Garden Place Store” opened on the corner. We supported everything from leasing leading up to the opening of "Foodies Garden" to store concept design, interiors construction, and production of product display fixtures. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] From Life Corporation Co., Ltd., toward the opening of the flagship store Central Square, we will continue to follow the Central Square brand while incorporating the essence of Ebisu, the location of the store. We received a request that we would like to create an attractive store. [Solution] Incorporating brick walls inspired by Ebisu's historical motifs of the beer factory and station building into concept design of the store façade, and making use of materials that are reminiscent of the history of Ebisu, the dignified façade of the flagship store. I practiced concept design. For the interior concept design of the store, we used the graphic and sign concept design format used in Central Square, following the image of Central Square and realizing a fusion of Ebisu's unique store creation and Central Square's VI (*). . Toyobo Building

Toyobo Building

This is a renovation project for the Toyobo Building, which stands along the Dojima River in Osaka, which is full of charm with many historical buildings and rich nature. The Dojima River is a river with an attractive landscape that represents Osaka, which was called the "City of Water", so we aimed to create a place where you can work lively while enjoying the comfort of this location. The plaza looks like a riverside deck extending to the building, and by arranging a swaying willow tree as a symbol tree, you can feel the river breeze visually. The façade incorporates concept design inspired by the magnificence of the Dojima River and the density of the waves. By wrapping the outer wall of the building with a soft wave design, we intend to harmonize with the building and become a symbol of the new town. The lobby lounge is designed in harmony with the façade, creating continuity between the interior and exterior, and creating comfort through the use of sofas of various shapes and original acoustics. In addition, visual art that visualizes the outside environment, such as temperature and wind, is applied to the central pillar so that you can feel the comfort of the river breeze indoors. Each floor has a photograph of the Dojima River showing a variety of expressions, and original art that delicately expresses waves is placed in the restroom space. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] The purpose of this renovation is to increase the asset value of the building by increasing the appeal of new tenant candidates through sophisticated concept design. will do. In addition to functioning as a common area of the office building, there was a request to contribute to the revitalization of the region by enhancing the attractiveness of the riverside and becoming a place that can be used by the people of the city. [Solution] While various work styles are emerging one after another, we aimed to create a place where you can work while enjoying the unique comfort of Kawabe. Under the concept of "Riverside Workation", we aimed to create a healing effect through concept design that incorporates the surrounding environment and nature, and to enable people to live a rich life. In addition, we are trying to increase the property value of the building by planning original sound and art in various places. Fukushima City Creative Business Salon

Fukushima City Creative Business Salon

The Fukushima City Creative Business Salon Development Project was held in July 2021 as a public proposal competition, and was entrusted by our Tokyo head office, and the design was taken over by the Tohoku branch. The permanent displays room of the Fukushima City Industrial Exchange Plaza on the 2nd floor of the Fukushima Station West Exit Complex Corasse Fukushima, which is close to JR Fukushima Station, has been renovated. The aim of the project is to renovate the facility so that it can be used comfortably by students and other students, with a floor area of approximately 755 square meters. Fukushima is particularly active in photography, and a gallery has been set up on the wall of the co-working space to displays the local rich nature and seasonal scenery and seasonal stories by citizen photographers, as well as culture and art that demonstrate the rich sensibilities of the people of Fukushima. I was. concept design concept of this salon is “Shikisai Gallery”, which combines the rich colors of the people of Fukushima with the Saijiki of Fukushima. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] While there was a demand for a spacious layout based on the post-COVID-19 era, there was also a demand for zoning and securing the number of seats that take into consideration profits. As a facility that can be used comfortably by various users such as businessmen, freelancers, and university students, we have created a space that can be used comfortably by various users such as shared offices, business exchange spaces, coworking spaces, and meeting rooms. We were asked to select layouts and furniture that corresponded to usability. [Solution] As a place of creation to create new businesses, we have developed the entire area into two zones, making use of the size of the facility. The business exchange space is an active, bright, natural, and comfortable cafe zone, and the walls and floor of the corporate PR displays are based on white, creating an environment where you can feel the warmth of wood. It consists of furniture that is easy to move according to your needs. The co-working space is a calm lounge zone, with gray as the base color, and dark brown and dark wood on the niche walls, creating a sharp environment. The furniture has been configured according to the various usability of the room. In addition, we will enhance the function of the corporate PR displays space as a connection with the local community and the formation of a community, and will also add displays of the "Shikisai Gallery" that will be created together with the citizens of Fukushima to create a new relationship between the people who use the facility and the city. Sharp Yao Office "Yao Daiichi Shokudo Isshoku"

Sharp Yao Office "Yao Daiichi Shokudo Isshoku"

We were in charge of the planning, design, layout, and construction of the employee cafeteria “Yao Daiichi Shokudo Isshoku,” which opened on November 1, 2021 at Sharp Corporation (hereafter: Sharp) Yao Office. When proposing a plan, we were conscious of "proposals that can only be made by Nomura," rather than simply a stylish space. We proposed a cafeteria as a place for outer branding that can be experienced by people from affiliated companies. We have created three zones for lunch, work, and salon, and have devised ways to not only serve as a company cafeteria, but also to use it as a place to relax, hold meetings with guests inside and outside the company, and create connections and communication among people. The straight red line (sharp red) running through the cafeteria expresses Sharp's history and future. For this project, the Yao Factory, which has a long history as a production base for white goods for about 65 years, has come up with concept design that preserves its characteristics while ensuring hygiene. In addition, by utilizing the mezzanine floor that was used for the manufacturing line of production products as an displays space for successive products that symbolize SHARP, we also made efforts from the perspective of SDGs to reduce waste and removal costs. rice field. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] We received a request to create a space where communication between business divisions is weak, so that connections within the company can be more activated. [Solution] We made proposals that could be used not only as a place to eat, but also as a place to work and a place to relax.・We proposed a past product displays as a place where you can discover. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Yui Takahashi [design, layout] Shota Umetani, Ryoha Yamato, Yusuke Nakamura, Ayaka Miura [Production management] Yoshitsugu Mukoyama -Related links- [Notice] ・ Social good of NOMURA Activities: Case of Yao Daiichi Shokudo Isshoku, Sharp Yao Office

As a place to nurture children's intellectual curiosity and inspiration, we provide an environment where they can experience both learning and making things. In order to freely release the curiosity and motivation for creation, the space is designed to create a feeling of being dirty, of being able to create it yourself, of being rearranged, of being unconventional, and of being in a session with everyone. concept design around 5 points. Opus Arisugawa

Opus Arisugawa

This project is the culmination of "With more than 100 m2 of private space in the city center, this brand focuses on location and property values, and offers essential living through renovation." = "R 100 TOKYO," which is being developed by Rivita. In the renovation of Opus Arisugawa, one of Tokyo's leading residences with an area of approximately 198 m 2, which was owned concept design by OEO Studio, a Danish company based in concept design, our company provided construction assistance. With the concepts of "CROSS-CULTURAL" and "COMPELLING MINIMALISM," this living space in concept design incorporates new proposals based on a sensibility common to Scandinavia and Japan. By making extensive use of solid wood and other natural materials that become more palatable the longer you live, the more bounty you will have in your life, the more this new residential unit achieves the R 100 TOKYO vision of a house of value that looks 100 years into the future. SOCIAL ISSUES/CUSTOMER ISSUES/REQUESTS: In the upscale residential market in central Tokyo these days, there is a growing demand for houses with unique values that are not limited to traditional values such as real estate prices and housing functions. Among Rivita's projects, which aim to be "We will continue to create the next common sense in order to regenerate the value of Japanese homes and real estate and leave it in the future," the question was whether this project, which emphasizes natural materials and traditional construction methods, would be viable as housing performance. Solution: We worked through a series of meetings to promote the use of natural materials and crafts in the living space, taking into account the housing performance, including a wide variety of stone, plastering, solid wood, engraving and ceramic tiles. The solid wood kitchen of the Danish kitchen workshop Garde Hvalsøe (read: Garde Vels), which will be the first residential home in Japan, has a significant presence in this residential space, and since there is no solid wood kitchen to replace it, our company's Global Division imported it from Denmark. Customer comments: Thanks to your high level of skill and management in proposing solutions to difficult construction issues, accuracy in settling details, and adherence to the construction schedule, the entire schedule was carried out without error, and we were able to create a wonderful space that reflects the intentions of the designers. < our company Project Member > < Project Management > Masahiro Harada < Product Direction > Mikiya Fujitaka < Global Supply > Hiroyuki Nakagome

S-PAL Koriyama

S-PAL Koriyama

This is a project to reopen the south zone on the 1st floor of the main building of S-PAL Koriyama, which is adjacent to JR Koriyama Station. A large number of shops have opened that can coordinate your lifestyle by enhancing the mobility of daily use and responding to the various scenes of customers. The proposed environmental design concept is [RAMBLING STATION TOWN]. Based on the theme of "an urban shopping center where you can gather at the station and spend a comfortable time, just like you enjoy strolling around the city", the whole area is wrapped in a mode and gentle atmosphere. Specifically, on the façade of the facility, we placed a “rhythm line border” with indirect lighting, which is associated with Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture = a “musical capital”. Developed to wrap around the station concourse, it will create a new patio for S-PAL Koriyama with people going through the city. In the facility, we have placed a raised ceiling composed of wood and white rhythm lines with "music" as a concept design element in conjunction with the environment of Nakajima Tenant. Rhythmic guidance guides people into the depths of the facility. As an urban shopping center, S-PAL Koriyama aims to be a place that is supported by customers of all ages. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] ・Because it was being promoted at the same time as the corona disaster in the fall of 2020, the way to attract customers was questioned.・With the earthquake disaster in the spring of 2021, safety design was strongly required.・There was a need to upcycle the environment by using the existing lease line without changing the main flow line. [Solution] While the line of circulation is existing, the floor material has been redesigned to look like a stone pavement, and wooden materials that connect the entire facility are incorporated in part to create a street where you can enjoy strolling around the city. In the atrium environment, which is the axis of the facility's vertical excursion, we added a "rhythmic line gate" associated with "Rakuto" to the existing design, and renewed it as a "new center court" that will become concept design symbol of the entire facility. We provide visitors with a natural and symbolic park environment that combines “things x events x time”. We have created a new stage for S-PAL Koriyama with the people who go to town. <Our project members> [Planner] Hiroko Okazaki, Yuri Watamoto [Sales and project management] Hiroyuki Uesugi [design, layout] Kenichi Suzuki, Makio Miura [Production and construction] Johei Saito

S-PAL Sendai II

S-PAL Sendai II

In June 2020, 13 years after the opening of S-PAL Sendai II in 2008, a proposal competition was held for a full renovation, and our company was selected. environmental design concept we proposed to reinvent ourselves as a new select shop zone where we can refine the highest sensitivity in Tohoku and make proposals that are one step ahead of our customers' lifestyles is [MORI TERRACE]. Based on the themes of "more comfortable than anywhere else" and "inspiration for everyday life", the whole is composed of organic lines and earth colors, and the whole is wrapped in a mode and gentle atmosphere. Specifically, a "Big Awning and Green" is being deployed in the external plaza, creating a new connection between the facility and the people who go to town. Inside the facility, a light coat on the ceiling with a concept design element of "sunlight filtering through foliage" is arranged in conjunction with the passageway environment, and the sunlight filtering through foliage guides people into the depths of the facility. We aim to be a place that will be supported by customers of all ages who have next-generation values by making them feel “relaxation and playfulness” in a sophisticated sensibility. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] This project started in August 2020, and it was decided to promote the plan due to the corona disaster, and it was a development project that asked the question of how to attract customers. Negotiations with tenants for store openings were running into difficulties, and upcycling the environment was required, using existing lines for 90% of the main traffic lines. In addition to being a place to attract customers, it was also requested to create a “new node between people going to the city and S-PAL Sendai” and to attract and spread people to the back of the facility. [Solution] As a connecting point for people going through the city, we installed "a big awning and greenery that is more comfortable than anywhere else" and "LED vision that provides inspiration for everyday life" in the external plaza, and set it at the northernmost end of S-PAL Sendai. As an information dissemination plaza of a certain facility, it disseminates information about events and tenants to people going through the city. In addition, with a view to developing into a media medium from both the facility side and the customer side, which can be a hint for future content development, by showing highly appealing images, We aimed to create a connection with ES-PAL, invite people to the back of the facility, and create a place where people can "feel, touch, and transmit" from a passing facility. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Hiroyuki Uesugi [Planning] Chihiro Watarai, Mayu Nakamura [design, layout] Kenichi Suzuki [Structural design] Taizo Komatsu [Production and construction] Tatsuo Sato
