What is a “special account”?

A “special account” is an account opened using the shareholder name on the shareholder register provided to the organization that manages the special account (Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank) by NOMURA, who is the issuing company, to protect the rights of shareholders with regard to share certificates that were not deposited with the Japan Securities Depository Center, Inc. through a securities company before the electronic share certificate system was implemented in 2009.

Can you provide me with some information about the procedures to follow when selling shares from a “special account”?

It is not possible to sell shares or change the name of the holder of the shares with a “special account.” First, transfer the shares to an account at a securities company, and then sell the shares through the securities company.

I would like to know how to receive a written notice of the General Meeting of Shareholders. How can I request this document? (If via a trust bank)

If you wish to request the delivery of a written notice from Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, which acts as our stock transfer agency, call the exclusive number listed below to request a written notice request postcard, fill in the postcard, and then submit it to Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.

When you receive the postcard, write the date you filled it in, affix a stamp, and then mail it from a nearby postbox. After the procedure is complete, you will receive a postcard to inform you that the procedure to request the written notice is complete. Be sure to keep this postcard in a safe place.

(Notes)
(1) As a general rule, the address for sending the document delivery request will be the registered address. If there is an address change, please request a written invoice after completing the address change at the account management institution.

(2) No fee will be charged for requesting the delivery of the written notice, but the shareholder is responsible for the postage cost to return the written notice request postcard.

About new graduate recruitment

I have already graduated, can I still apply?

You can apply even if you have already graduated from school.
You can apply for new graduate recruitment if you meet the following three conditions.

① Under 30 years old at the time of joining the company
(2) Less than 3 years of working experience at the time of joining the company
(3) Be able to join the company on April 1st of the applicable fiscal year

I have experience working at other companies, can I still apply?

Those who have work experience can also apply.
You can apply for new graduate recruitment if you meet the following three conditions.

I am an international student and wonder if I can apply to work at your company. Would this put me at a disadvantage during the selection process?

We accept applications regardless of nationality.
Also, in the selection process, you will not be at a disadvantage because you are a foreign national.

I would like to visit alumni, but could you introduce me?

Regarding alumni visits, we do not act as an intermediary for introduction of our employees from the viewpoint of protecting the personal information of employees.

*We have no problem with you contacting NOMURA employees directly through your university career support office or acquaintances such as professors.

Can I apply for multiple positions at the same time?

We do not accept applications for multiple occupations.
Each person can only apply for one job type, so please think carefully about the job you want to do and then select the job type.

However, note that during the selection process, we may suggest a different position for you at our company if we see that your aptitude is more suitable to a different type of job.
