The purpose of this project is to concept design interiors environment, including the playground equipment of the museum, which has been aging and obsolete for about 18 years since its opening, and to provide safer and more comfortable services for users. was to provide "Hamamatsu Children's Center Philosophy" Children have an insatiable curiosity on the inside. Hamamatsu Children's Museum aims to create a loving environment where these children can fully demonstrate their childlike qualities and play to their heart's content with peace of mind. We hope that you will interact with many people and increase your sociality and creativity. In addition, parents who are raising important children who will be responsible for the future will expand the mutual aid network and create an environment where they can enjoy child-rearing while receiving professional support for child-rearing. We believe that what children experience and imagine in a psychologically stable environment during this period is stored in their brain's long-term memory and becomes fertile soil for living a rich and happy life. . [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] 1) Renew some of the playground equipment and interiors while maintaining the operational philosophy and facility functions since the facility was first opened. 2) We set the temporary closure period to a minimum and completed the design and construction within a short period of one year. 3) For the renovation, we worked on the use of Tenryu materials (local materials) promoted by Hamamatsu City, and obtained FSC® project certification. We have received your request above. [Solution] 1) We concept design a playground that incorporates the local characteristics of Hamamatsu's nature and industrial technology, and created a mechanism that nurtures interest and attachment to the local area. 2) In order to create a “playground unique to Hamamatsu” that nurtures the humanity of Hamamatsu children and a foundation for learning, we have created original playground equipment and spaces based on the theory of human development. 3) Tenryu cedar, which is produced in Hamamatsu City, is used in the hall, Daichi zone (floors, walls, some playground equipment), workshop rooms, and corridors. As an FSC® project team with Hamamatsu City as the manager and our company as the deputy manager, we have acquired the international forest certification system "FSC® project certification*" for the first time in Japan as a similar public children's facility. * FSC® project certification ・FSC® standard is an international forest certification system based in Germany and is the highest standard in the world.・ FSC® certification = It is guaranteed that wood from properly managed forests is used.・Hamamatsu City is particularly focusing on the use of FSC® certified materials as a concrete action for SDGs. <Our project members> [Direction] Atsushi Suzuki [concept design] Mika Watanabe [Planning] Reimi Abe [Production] Akinobu Takahashi, Hironari Ota, Takehiro Ichijo [Sales and project management] Akinori Ogasawara, Haruka Tashiro -Related links- [ Release] NOMURA, Ltd. Hamamatsu Castle

Hamamatsu Castle

The castle tower of Hamamatsu Castle is a park facility built in 1958 with donations from citizens. 60 years after its completion, displays and decorations inside the facility were aging. This project is a renewal project in displays area aimed at enhancing the appeal of Hamamatsu-jo Park as a central park and enhancing the satisfaction of citizens and visitors in the milestone year of 450 years since the construction of Hamamatsu-jo Castle by Lord Ieyasu Tokugawa. In our company, I was responsible for construction design of furnishings, sign graphics, visual software hardware, lighting and electrical work, furniture and fixtures, including interiors. (Social issues/customer issues/requests) - Introduced the history of Hamamatsu-jo Castle from its predecessor, Hikuma Castle, to its construction, reconstruction, and demolition, and to Hamamatsu-jo Castle Park. - Introducing the castle ruins in the city that are open for tours, and conveying the multi-layered history of Hamamatsu Castle and the appearance of the castles in various parts of the city. - Bring a sense of unity to current displays stories and historical backgrounds. - Production of multilingual panels and digital video content - displays. - Consideration of traffic lines and concept design, taking into account operations during the pandemic. - Received FSC ® project certification using FSC ® -certified Tenryu wood (made in the city). We received the above request. Solution: We designed the plan focusing on the fact that "young Lord Ieyasu" did indeed reside in Hamamatsu-jo Castle and the historical background and people surrounding him during those 17 years, and zoned the plan into layers of "passion," "situation," and "scene.". - Directed a passion stage expressing the "passion" of young Lord Ieyasu. The history of Hamamatsu Castle, from its predecessor, Hikama Castle, to its construction, reconstruction, and demolition, as well as Hamamatsu Castle Park, was presented through a panoramic theater utilizing existing models. - Tenryusugi, a Hamamatsu cedar, is used for the "scenery" layer on the third floor. In its renewal, the castle became the first in Japan to receive FSC ® project certification. Customer comments: The castle tower has been completely renovated during this renovation, with the current status and issues of the tower being accurately organized and incorporating video footage using the latest technology and recent discoveries and research. In addition, visitors were introduced to the castle ruins in the city that they could visit, as well as to the places associated with Lord Ieyasu, legends and food culture, making the newly dressed Hamamatsu Castle a place to learn, as well as a reconstructed castle tower and other facilities where visitors can look back on the history of Hamamatsu. Visitors have commented that they "understand the origin of Hamamatsu Castle very well" and "it has become fashionable," and the city recognizes that this has not only increased the attractiveness of Hamamatsu Castle as a central park and improved the satisfaction of citizens and visitors, but also improved its function as a base facility for further regional revitalization and tourism exchange. < our company Project Members > (Directions) Atsushi Suzuki (concept design) Sayaka Horikoshi (Planning) Misa Inagaki (Production/construction) Akinobu Takahashi (Sales/Project Management) Akinori Ogasawara and Haruka Tashiro (Related Links) (Release) NOMURA opens "Hamamatsu-jo" and "Hamamatsu Children's Hall," the first FSC ® Project certification facilities using domestic timber in Japan

“Creating the future of work styles for the NOMURA Group” Group company base consolidation project

In March 2021, NOMURA, Ltd. opened a new office in the Daiba Garden City Building adjacent to its headquarters (Odaiba, Tokyo) that is suited to the new normal era. The company aims to encourage employees to communicate and demonstrate greater creativity while taking advantage of the diverse work styles and values of NOMURA Ltd. Group. In 2019, NOMURA Group launched a group company base consolidation project with the aim of creating an environment in which employees can work together and demonstrate greater synergy. In response to the changes in work styles and social issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company set three keywords, "health," "experiment," and "brand," and explored the nature of real office space in the new normal era to create "future work styles." - We believe that the function of the office in the new normal era will change from a "workplace" to an "innovative space that induces communication," where diverse human resources from inside and outside the company gather and actively exchange ideas and encounters that can only be found in the real world. Therefore, the communication space "RESET SPACE_2" was designed with the concept of "Unique Park" and was planned as a park-like space that any employee can use to suit their diverse and unique work styles. 100% fairwood is used. ・CONFERIUM is a proposal for a new conference room area, and is an attempt to "displays the behavior of working styles" that proactively shows unique meetings. JR Nichinan Line Nichinan Station Building

JR Nichinan Line Nichinan Station Building

~The station building as a community space where everyone can spend time comfortably, not just waiting for trains~ Based on the concept of creating a place to nurture a community, workshops and questionnaire surveys were conducted with local residents from the planning stage. User needs are identified and reflected in the design. In order to create opportunities to experience various cultures through books during the time spent in the station building, we have also set up a corner where you can browse books and picture books. In order to convey the charm of local resources through the use of the station building, we actively adopted the local specialty "Obi cedar" in various parts of the space and planned and produced the creation of a space where users can experience the charm of Obi cedar through experience. [Customer issues/requests] We received a request to make the Nichinan station building, which had no place to stay and was only a place for getting on and off trains before renovation, to foster a local community and make it a place where you can feel the "local charm". [Solution] In order to convey the appeal of local resources through the use of the station building, we collaborated with a local design office, Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. In order to create opportunities to experience the charm of Obi cedar through experience, we adopted wood for the station building façade and window frames while harmonizing with the forest that spreads behind the station building. At the same time, we implemented a signage plan that allows the presence of the station to be recognized even from afar, and produced a space that harmonizes and fuses with the surrounding environment and the station building using wood as the base. [Customer's voice] People other than JR users have also started to visit the station building, and it has been renovated as an attractive space where local people can gather. We would like to continue using the station building as a place for the local community, such as holding events. <Our project members> [Sales] Reiko Ibe [Planning producer, workshop concept design, design supervision] Mari Matsumoto -Related links- [News release] ・ NOMURA produces regional revitalization in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture through public-private partnership 1st stage: Old folk house restoration facility opens ・Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture and NOMURA, Ltd. conclude a “comprehensive cooperation agreement on regional revitalization” ・Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture and NOMURA, Ltd. conclude a “regional revitalization entrepreneur exchange program”・ NOMURA is working as a creative partner to create a community that co-creates the community. Green Stamp Karuizawa Dormitory Shoukan

Green Stamp Karuizawa Dormitory Shoukan

"Bashoukan" was built in 1892 in Nishikatamachi, Hongo-ku, Tokyo, part of the residence of Count Abe, the former feudal lord of the Fukuyama Domain, and moved to Karuizawa in 1971 by Setsuo Kasuga, the founder of Green Stamp Co., Ltd. It has been restored and used as a memorial hall for the Green Stamp Karuizawa Dormitory. In 2020, as a retreat facility used by both Green Stamp Co., Ltd. and Kenedix Co., Ltd., we renovated "Shoyukan" at the same time as the new Annex. We were in charge of designing and interior administration the refurbishment of Shoukan, including seismic retrofitting, and FFE installation work for the entire facility. [Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests] Since the initial relocation, various extensions and renovations have been carried out, and the connection with the annex is only at the point of the corridor, and the structure has been burdened and subsidence has been seen. rice field. Due to the aging of the facility as a whole, and because of the climate of Karuizawa, it is difficult to use the Shou-kan in winter. It was thought that I would like to refurbish it while leaving the vestige of the old as much as possible. [Solution] Based on the investigation of the Shoukan, we restored the building to the simple form it was in when it was relocated as much as possible. The courtyard faces the annex, giving the facility a sense of unity. While respecting the design of the time as much as possible, we aimed to extend the period of use, including winter, by installing heat insulation and air conditioning equipment in invisible parts. Floor heating was installed, flooring was added, and the walls added for earthquake resistance expressed the original walls, fittings, and the image of the time, and the upper half of the space preserved the design of the time as much as possible. <Our project members> [Sales] Kayu Tatsumi [Investigation, design, layout, interior administration] NAU1: Norio Koito [Production and construction] Mikiya Fujitaka

Starbucks Reserve (R) Roastery Tokyo

Starbucks Reserve (R) Roastery Tokyo

Starbucks Reserve(R) Roastery Tokyo, which combines coffee bean roasting capabilities, opened along the Meguro River in Nakameguro, Tokyo. This is the first Starbucks store to open in Japan and the fifth in the world. Each floor of the four-story store offers a different experience. Located in a vibrant and creative neighborhood, this charming concept design is inspired by the famous rows of cherry trees that line the Meguro River in full bloom. The space concept design aims to blend with the natural beauty of various parts of Japan, and is symbolized by an expansive glass surface that extends to the ceiling and a warm wooden terrace seating area. In the center of the store, a 17-meter-high cascade stretches to the fourth floor, where coffee beans are stored in a cask covered with 121 hand-hammered copper plates. Pipes carrying coffee beans run around the cask and throughout the restaurant, while the main bar on the first floor offers a variety of coffee brewing methods, and the authentic artisan bread available at the Italian bakery Princi (R), the first of its kind in Japan, is another attraction. In the area with a large roasting machine, visitors can also enjoy communicating with baristas and roasters over the counter; the Tibana Bar on the second floor offers a unique tea experience and a taste of the traditional Japanese tea journey, while the Alibiamo Bar, the first of its kind in Japan on the third floor, offers mixology and Craft Cocktails on the 3rd floor, where you can immerse yourself in a world of mixology and craft cocktails. In addition, the AMU Inspiration Lounge on the top four floors will serve as a venue for casual talks about social issues, a community outreach center, and a coffee training facility. The store will be the first Starbucks Roastery in Tokyo to be built from the ground up with a local architect, and the store exterior will be a collaboration with Kengo Kuma, a leading Japanese architect. concept design The space is a fusion of Japanese nature and tradition with modern concept design architecture, creating a space where people can explore and enjoy the experience of coffee. Based on the concept of a roasting factory and seating area coexisting in the same space, we sought a dynamic and entertaining composition incorporating the roastery's symbolic "cask" and bean pressure pipes, as well as an odd combination of delicate and understated Japanese materials. Solution: The cask is surrounded by a cherry blossom petal motif inspired by the cherry trees along the Meguro River. The cask itself was concept design patterned in such a way that the eye is guided upward, like the steam rising from a cup of coffee. The furniture is also interiors decorated with traditional Japanese craftsmanship and material processing techniques, while adding a contemporary touch to create a new concept design like the copper cascade and origami ceiling motifs. We have created a space that will surprise, inspire, and engage visitors in the coffee experience. The first time you step into the shop, you will be overwhelmed by the overwhelming space. The fusion of Japanese nature and tradition with the modern concept design and the creation of each and every detail has been echoed by customers as one of the values of the immersive experience. In addition to the coffee and tea products, the entire world view of the building, which is surprising and exciting, is one of the main experiences of the Roastery Tokyo. <Our project members> 【interiors schematic design Cooperation, artwork concept design】 Eiji Kawasaki, Mai Takahashi 【working drawings】 Kyoko Aikawa, Yo Yamamoto, Yuki Yamaguchi, Junya Hagiwara 【 Production construction】 Ryohei Azechi, Jun Endo, Osamu Kojima 【 Project management, sales】 Seiji Yamaguchi, Yukako Ninomiya
