This is a project to renovate the space museum where JAXA's donations are displays and the planetarium as a facility where children can feel the "space town" as it has become dilapidated. The first floor, which used to be a natural science museum, was renovated into the "Nobishiro Space Lab", and the entire building was unified into a space-themed facility.
We were in charge of everything from design, layout of displays space to exhibit execution and construction of the experience equipment.
As Noshiro City, where JAXA's rocket test site is located, we were asked to set up displays that would allow visitors to feel the "space town", and to enhance hands-on displays that can be enjoyed by preschoolers and elementary school students.
In displays room on the 1st floor, various displays items on the theme of space and rockets, such as vacuum, gravity, artificial satellites, and the solar system, are arranged with the original character "Noshiron" with a rocket motif as a guide.
In addition, utilizing the atrium space, a net playground equipment over 6 meters titled "Break through the Atmosphere!" guides visitors to displays on the 2nd floor.
We have also incorporated hands-on devices that elementary school students can enjoy, such as a vacuum device and an air table for experiments.
