This is a renewal project for the Niigata Prefectural Museum of Natural Science, which our company was commissioned by the Science and Technology Public Interest Foundation.
About 40 years after its opening in 1981, the 2nd floor "Environment and Life in the Beech Forest" and "Experience the Power of the Wind" and the 3rd floor "Mysterious Moving Room" are now called "Symphony of the Forest". ” and “Scale Adventure” have been renewed.
In order to realize the image of the [displays basic plan] presented by the customer, we proceeded with the examination and production of the video space, content, video system, and graphics.

Based on the [displays Basic Plan],
(1) Relevance to the theme of displays as a whole
(2) The content must be based on social trends
(3) It should be a method that anyone can experience intuitively
It was necessary to realize the above three points.

In "Symphony of Forest", "biological diversity" and nature nurtured by beech forests are projected on screens arranged so as to merge with existing beech forests. We were asked to express the “realistic feeling of the forest” where you can feel the signs of the forest.
For “Scale Adventure,” we sought “attraction-type content” that explored from the micro to the macro through visuals that seamlessly connect the entire space and directing experiences using non-contact sensors.

In order to realize the above issues, the staff worked together to carry out "video projection simulation", "sensor detection simulation", and "structural verification of projector installation", and while holding content meetings with curators, graphic design in anticipation of operating conditions. promoted.
