Hamamatsu Science Museum Miraira

Hamamatsu Science Museum Miraira

Renewal of the Science Museum due to the aging of the existing Science Museum facilities and displays items. We received a proposal based on the DBO* method, which integrates design, construction, and operation, and completed construction in a short period of about one and a half years from schematic design. With the main goal of providing active learning-type learning, we are planning displays based on the basic policy of experiential stories that lead to deep learning through spontaneous action by inducing interest from experience. Zoned under six themes of nature, power, sound, light, space, and new technology, the displays space is equipped with more than 100 new science experience devices, almost all of which are centered on the large centerpiece displays, which symbolizes each zone that can be attended by a large number of people. With the cooperation of Hamamatsu's leading companies, we have developed displays to stimulate interest in local industries throughout the building. In addition, we have introduced the world's first scientific information learning system (app) equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) for science museums, realizing a new way of communication concept design that expands interest and knowledge through dialogue. In addition to the displays rooms, we have also renovated the welcome displays at the entrance with art by local artist Yasuhiro Suzuki, the Kids Science Land, a café, a shop, and an outdoor science park to make it concept design a comfortable place not only for children but also for adults, while incorporating the elements of a science museum. * DBO method (Design, Build, Operate): A method of public-private partnership in which design, construction, maintenance, and operation are comprehensively ordered to private companies.

ROOKIE CAFE

ROOKIE CAFE

“Experience-based cafe full of car love” This is the first motorsports-themed cafe opened at Toyota's experience-based theme park “MEGA WEB”. The café is not just a place where cars are placed. In the center is a large table modeled after the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, where Toyota Motor Corporation and other automakers from all over the world are participating in the development. sprinkled with This circuit-inspired table is a symbol of the café and is designed as a communication belt that induces natural dialogue between people. In fact, it is crowded with people taking pictures in various places, and you can hear many conversations. I hope that motorsports will be a catalyst for dialogue and communication with family, friends, and even strangers. The machine that is the cornerstone of the cafe is a racing car that actually ran a race, and it is a realistic production. We also produce furniture that can only be seen here, designed only with parts from Toyota vehicles. Not just furniture, but furniture with a message, it is popular not only with Japanese but also with many foreign tourists. The food is made with carefully selected ingredients, including a lunch plate that allows you to choose your main dish and side dish, as well as a body-friendly menu that includes soy smoothies using soy milk and okara from a long-established tofu shop, okara soy milk donuts, and gluten-free SOY brownies. We have created a place where everyone from children to adults can enjoy meals with peace of mind. These are Toyota Motor Corporation's first principles of wanting to let women and children, who are a little distant from motor sports, enjoy the cafe while experiencing the world of motor sports naturally. We are particular about providing a realistic experience that cannot be experienced in a cafe that simply displays cars, and not only core car fans, but also young women and families can enjoy the world of motor sports as an opportunity to come to the cafe. realized the space. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Takuya Fujioka, Yukari Tange [Creative direction] Mitsuhide Yoshinaga [Design and engineering] Yuzo Kosaka, So Kato [Production and construction] Ryuichiro Katsura

Shiroi Koibito Park

Shiroi Koibito Park

Ishiya Confectionery Co., Ltd., a confectionery maker that represents Hokkaido and is familiar with Shiroi Koibito. In 1995, the Ishiya Chocolate Factory was built as the headquarters factory building, and the entire facility was named Shiroi Koibito Park. Today, Shiroi Koibito Park, which has become a tourist attraction representing Sapporo, celebrates its 20th anniversary since its opening, and the annual number of visitors has exceeded 700,000. In anticipation of 1 million visitors, the renewal plan has started with the theme of providing surprises and fun by making use of the confectionery factory by improving customer service and adding new entertainment elements. NOMURA oversaw the overall production of the park, produced video content, reviewed the displays plan, concept design the space, produced and construction the new cafe, refurbished the lounge, expanded the hands-on experience area, completely refurbished the factory direct sales store, and revised the signage plan. We produced the space by taking on all planning, designing construction work that covers all areas of the know-how of NOMURA Group. In addition, this time, we did a wide range of creative production, including facility logo concept design, character concept design and new character concept design, advertisement concept design, and package concept design for limited products accompanying renewal. Mainly on the projection mapping tour "Chocotopia House" where you explore the secrets of chocolate with "Dr. It has been reborn as a chocolate entertainment facility where you can learn, taste, and experience [Customer issues / requests] It is important to inherit the antique that is the basic concept design of the entire facility, and to concept design and produce the atmosphere of the existing facility. It is a premise. First of all, it became a big issue to solve the chronic congestion with over 700,000 visitors per year. Another challenge was to create a new attraction, so it was necessary to proceed with the plan by targeting not only tourists from outside Hokkaido, who have been the main tourist destination, but also tourists from within Hokkaido and from abroad. [Solution] First of all, we will set a clear production concept as a guideline, and review displays story and route plan, starting with the start of the attraction, from the tour route to the lounge and shop, so that the customer's route Aimed at relieving congestion. In addition, we aimed to alleviate congestion by dispersing visitor points by increasing the number of attractions, establishing a new café, renovating the lounge, expanding the experience facilities, and expanding the final point of the shop. In addition, we created new characters in content production, and aimed to create new appeal by making full use of the latest production technology such as projection mapping and new diorama models based on new concepts. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Taku Wakita, Tadayuki Matsubara [Planning] Yuichi Saito, Tomoko Yanagihara, Moe Murakami [design, layout] Keiu Tamura, Fujie Suzuki, Kentaro Yamada, Yuki Masuda, Akika Yamada , Shimon Kato, Sari Suzuki, Mayu Toyoda [Production and construction] Naofumi Sasaya, Ikushige Umemoto [Creative Engineer] Akimitsu Kishi, Kenichi Kishikawa, Tomoji Kawai [Signage Planning] Naoaki Mori (Nomura construction) Cooperation] Mizuki Suzumura (Nomura Techno)

Gree head office office renewal

Gree head office office renewal

It is a total renovation project of three floors in the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, where Glee's head office is located. It took more than two years from the concept to carry out the construction in multiple phases. The concept of this project is to "transmit Glee's manufacturing". Headquartered in Mori Tower, Roppongi Hills for about nine years, Glee's passion for manufacturing was expressed in the office space at the outset. We created the entrances, lounges, cafes and Future Labo's interiors and fixtures with an emphasis on materials to express the image of creating high-quality products in the spaces where many workers spend time, which support the three axes of Glee's gaming, advertising and media and live entertainment businesses. With the participation of customers, project members were actually involved in the furnishing construction on site, and the space was filled with the thoughts of manufacturing. The overall project management was handled by D Sain Co., Ltd. and the design of concept design was handled by Puddle Co., Ltd. Customer comments: The number of events and other events in the new space, which Mr. NOMURA helped us with, has increased by about four times compared to before the renovation, and the number of visitors is on the rise, so our company office is starting to revive. The space and fixtures are meticulous, so we can welcome our guests with confidence. < our company Project Members > (Sales and Project Management) Kaori Murakami, Shuichi Sakashita (Production and construction) Naoto Tominaga

Bosch Shibuya Head Office 10F "The NEST"

Bosch Shibuya Head Office 10F "The NEST"

Renovation project of the Bosch Corporation Shibuya headquarters. We were in charge of the planning, design, layout, and construction the renovation of the 10th floor into a communication space. Based on our experience of remodeling the 4th floor of our head office building into a communication space called "RE/SP," we believe it is important to create mechanisms that foster interaction among employees. Based on the concept of "SCRAMBLE for MEET UP" (people gather, hatch new ideas, and then fly outside), we aim to create a place where diverse employees can gather and interact on a daily basis. increase. Just like Shibuya, where Bosch's head office is located, we created a space that collaborates with various artists to express a mixture of encounters and exchanges, and has an open concept design that allows for open communication. I also participated in the Kotozukuri phase, such as logo concept design and event planning and management. [Customer's issue/theme] Aiming to revitalize internal communication and create innovation, we were asked to concept design a place where we could interact from a different perspective than the office floor. [Solution] We proposed a space configuration that would allow each employee to regain vitality and deepen connections. Specifically, with the aim of creating opportunities for communication that transcends boundaries of age and department, we will create counters where you can have casual conversations with a cup of coffee in one hand, places where you can relax on sofas, and spaces where you can exercise and refresh yourself. We divided the area into 6 major functions. By actively incorporating furniture and art that serve as opportunities for communication, we also aimed to create a place where accidental ideas that are difficult to come up with in the office area are born. We also have product displays where you can come into contact with Bosch's DNA, and it is also a place to give hints for creating innovation. <Our project members> [Sales and project management] Kazushige Ishii, Kaori Murakami, Tomoyo Shishibori [design, layout] Manabu Yamanobe, Mitsutaka Hagiwara [Planning] Kenta Masubuchi [Production and construction] Tetsuji Koike

Starbucks Reserve (R) Roastery Tokyo

Starbucks Reserve (R) Roastery Tokyo

Starbucks Reserve(R) Roastery Tokyo, which combines coffee bean roasting capabilities, opened along the Meguro River in Nakameguro, Tokyo. This is the first Starbucks store to open in Japan and the fifth in the world. Each floor of the four-story store offers a different experience. Located in a vibrant and creative neighborhood, this charming concept design is inspired by the famous rows of cherry trees that line the Meguro River in full bloom. The space concept design aims to blend with the natural beauty of various parts of Japan, and is symbolized by an expansive glass surface that extends to the ceiling and a warm wooden terrace seating area. In the center of the store, a 17-meter-high cascade stretches to the fourth floor, where coffee beans are stored in a cask covered with 121 hand-hammered copper plates. Pipes carrying coffee beans run around the cask and throughout the restaurant, while the main bar on the first floor offers a variety of coffee brewing methods, and the authentic artisan bread available at the Italian bakery Princi (R), the first of its kind in Japan, is another attraction. In the area with a large roasting machine, visitors can also enjoy communicating with baristas and roasters over the counter; the Tibana Bar on the second floor offers a unique tea experience and a taste of the traditional Japanese tea journey, while the Alibiamo Bar, the first of its kind in Japan on the third floor, offers mixology and Craft Cocktails on the 3rd floor, where you can immerse yourself in a world of mixology and craft cocktails. In addition, the AMU Inspiration Lounge on the top four floors will serve as a venue for casual talks about social issues, a community outreach center, and a coffee training facility. The store will be the first Starbucks Roastery in Tokyo to be built from the ground up with a local architect, and the store exterior will be a collaboration with Kengo Kuma, a leading Japanese architect. concept design The space is a fusion of Japanese nature and tradition with modern concept design architecture, creating a space where people can explore and enjoy the experience of coffee. Based on the concept of a roasting factory and seating area coexisting in the same space, we sought a dynamic and entertaining composition incorporating the roastery's symbolic "cask" and bean pressure pipes, as well as an odd combination of delicate and understated Japanese materials. Solution: The cask is surrounded by a cherry blossom petal motif inspired by the cherry trees along the Meguro River. The cask itself was concept design patterned in such a way that the eye is guided upward, like the steam rising from a cup of coffee. The furniture is also interiors decorated with traditional Japanese craftsmanship and material processing techniques, while adding a contemporary touch to create a new concept design like the copper cascade and origami ceiling motifs. We have created a space that will surprise, inspire, and engage visitors in the coffee experience. The first time you step into the shop, you will be overwhelmed by the overwhelming space. The fusion of Japanese nature and tradition with the modern concept design and the creation of each and every detail has been echoed by customers as one of the values of the immersive experience. In addition to the coffee and tea products, the entire world view of the building, which is surprising and exciting, is one of the main experiences of the Roastery Tokyo. <Our project members> 【interiors schematic design Cooperation, artwork concept design】 Eiji Kawasaki, Mai Takahashi 【working drawings】 Kyoko Aikawa, Yo Yamamoto, Yuki Yamaguchi, Junya Hagiwara 【 Production construction】 Ryohei Azechi, Jun Endo, Osamu Kojima 【 Project management, sales】 Seiji Yamaguchi, Yukako Ninomiya

Moominvalley Park

Moominvalley Park opened in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture on March 16, 2019. We were in charge of planning, designing, staging planning and construction of the entire park. [Customer issues/themes] Since it will be the world's first permanent Moomin theme park, there is no precedent, and literally what kind of facility should be and what kind of attractions should be there. It was necessary to get approval from the publisher, Moomin Characters, from scratch. In addition, since the scope of responsibility is wide-ranging, we were required to form a team with a large number of people working together. [Solution] The deep understanding of the original by the promotion members and repeated confirmation work with the publishers resulted in a very high evaluation from the publishers, which led to a smooth approval. . In addition, by assigning a promotion team for the entire NOMURA Group, we have created a situation where constant communication can be maintained in all kinds of fields. Hida Space Science Museum Kamioka Lab

Hida Space Science Museum Kamioka Lab

Kamioka Town, Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, where research bases for exploring the mysteries of the universe and elementary particles gather. The Hida Space Science Museum KamiokaLab is open to everyone to widely spread the appeal of research conducted using experimental equipment hidden 1,000 meters underground in the mountains of Hida, and to create a new relationship between science and society. It opened at the roadside station "Sukai Dome Kamioka". Neutrinos (*1) are mysterious elementary particles that are being researched all over the world. Super-Kamiokande (*2), the world's largest underground neutrino observation device, holds the key to unlocking the unsolved mysteries of the universe through neutrino research. At Kamioka Lab, we aimed to create a space where you can experience such a mysterious property of neutrinos, and experience something different from everyday life, such as going back and forth between the macro world of the universe and the micro world of neutrinos. *1: One of the elementary particles whose names mean "neutral = neutral without electricity" and "ino (in Italian) = small". is underway. *2: Super-Kamiokande: The world's largest underground neutrino observation device operated by the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, University of Tokyo. In addition to investigating the properties of neutrinos themselves, we are trying to clarify the history of the universe using neutrinos.
