Tokyu Plaza Harajuku "Harakado" opened on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 as a place for creating and experiencing a new Harajuku culture that stimulates the sensibilities of diverse people. It combines highly sensitive people, things, and events with mechanisms for "meeting," "connecting," "experience," and "enjoying," and is home to 75 unique, adventurous stores on every floor, from the basement to the rooftop terrace.

NOMURA was responsible for the basic environmental planning, design, layout, the concept and part of the planning for the facility's merchandising, tenant leasing for the food and beverage floors, and the design and construction of some of the restaurants.

The fifth and sixth floors will be the food and beverage floors, for which we were in charge of tenant leasing. As a new "Harajuku town restaurant," it will bring together a diverse range of people and create new food cultures and new encounters, providing ways of enjoying the area and offering experiential value never before seen in the Harajuku/Jingumae area.

The fifth floor is home to a diverse array of unique food options, including restaurants you'll want to visit on a regular basis and izakayas with a backstreet atmosphere, which are rare in the Harajuku/Jingumae area. Shops that inspire your creative mind are lined up like an alley, and art is scattered throughout. The sixth floor is seamlessly connected to the lush green lawn zone and the open rooftop terrace, allowing you to spend your time however you like. The seventh floor rooftop terrace overlooks Jingumae Crossing, allowing you to enjoy beautiful views and a relaxing, green atmosphere while still feeling the hustle and bustle of the city. The fifth to seventh floors are called "HARAJUKU KITCHEN & TERRACE" and offer a variety of cuisines.

In addition to the food and beverage floor, we were also involved in the master plan for the entire facility environment, as well as design, layout, and construction of each section. We will continue to contribute to the revitalization of the local community and the creation of an attractive town that contributes to society.
