Yoichi Ochiai “Narunan: Noisoku is Jabi∽Jakusoku is Noisy” Exhibition|NOMURA was in charge of construction displays of organic deforming mirrors
Currently being held at Gallery & Restaurant Backstage (Azabudai Hills), Yoichi Ochiai's solo exhibition ``Nuruan: NoisokureJaku∽Jakusokuresou'' is a collection of works created by media artist Yoichi Ochiai to date. , a space where the physical intermingling of light and sound waves and the cultural intermingling of folk art and tea ceremony take place, providing a rich moment of endless exploration into the depths of objects between the material and the immaterial, the real and the unreal. That's what we aim for.
The new tea room ``Nuru-an'' is a tea room constructed using lenses, deformable mirrors, and speakers. ComputersIn the midst of nature, we will consider the role of a tea room as an opportunity to experience ethics and norms imprinted on mass (what Mr. Ochiai calls ``admiration for mass and folk crafts'') through tools.
NOMURA was in charge of displays construction of the organic deformable mirror used in the tea room ``Nuru-an''. The essence of this exhibition is a tour-style Ochimiwa tea ceremony experience. Based on instructions from the artist, you will move inside and outside the stage and experience the various tricks that are scattered throughout the show. As the experience progresses, the sounds and the mirror membrane inside the tea room change, and in the tea room ``Nuru-an'' you can enjoy light tea and sweets in utensils said to be from the Kofun period or the Edo period. Please enjoy the world view of this new installation, which takes full advantage of the entire gallery space.
*Some works can be viewed for free, but to view all works and enter the tea room, a tea ceremony experience ticket with a specified date and time is required. (Advance reservation/first come first served)
