Work 01

This history museum, situated in Ibaraki prefecture, covers the entirety of the design field, ranging from exhibitions to architecture. Exhibition spaces are divided by theme, and the visibility of the sky in the connecting sections is one major feature. The sky acts as an adjunct to the exhibition, both in interior and exterior spaces, and visitors feel its constant changes; they sense how those who came before must have seen the sky, and how the present-day sky might seem to future visitors to the museum. This enables an emotional connection that plays a significant role in enhancing the exhibition.
